And With Madness Comes the Light (Experiment in Terror, #6.5) - Karina Halle Dex. Oh, Dex....And With Madness finally gives us insight on what Dex was up to from the end of Lying Season to the end of On Demon Wings. Told completely from Dex's point of view. I love Perry, don't get my wrong, but I love me a Dex book. I love his dirty mouth and smart ass sense of humor. I would really like to know how Karina writes a male point of view so well! And, as usual, I felt like I was going through PMS with the up and down emotions I was going through while reading this. I was laughing one minute, p*ssed the next, then I was crying... Karina's sense of humor has to be fantastic. To be able to write some of the stuff that comes out of Dex's mouth. I have to pass on some of my favorite Dexisms. He describes Maximus as a "flannel-coated p*ssy stealer". Of Perry when she was possessed - she "broke free out of the rest of the ropes like Bruce Banner on crystal meth". And don't take his chips. That will really set him off... The heartbreak. I'll tell you one thing. I hate crying because of books. I mean really hate it. So, I'm a little butthurt that she made me cry. Because you finally get to see how much Dex loves Perry. And it broke my freaking heart!"Perry was my light. I didn't know it at the time, but I know it now. And in her light, I lost the madness. It only came back when she left." *sigh*Never a dull moment in this book. I had no problem reading what happened in ODW again since it was new - we didn't get to see how a lot of the events came together when it was told from Perry's point of view. A fantastic book, people. Seriously. I loved this book. So much.
The Final Piece - Maggi Myers Can't believe I forgot to mark this as read :/Review to come!
On Every Street - Karina Halle I got to read an advanced copy for an honest review and I'm being honest when I say that I think Karina likes to tear hearts out and stomp on them! I have fallen in love with so many of her male lead characters and Javier was no exception. I wanted to hate him so badly. After reading about him in Sins & Needles, I thought, this guy is terrible. Then came On Every Street. Damn it. I'm still officially Team Camden, but Javier is one charming dude. I thought the end of Sins & Needles was a pretty mild cliffhanger, but after reading this book, I almost think it could have ended there. Almost. I still need more. Now I'm biding my time and *trying* to wait patiently for Shooting Scars. I cannot wait to hear what is going to transpire in the car between Ellie and Javier. I won't go into too much of the plot since the synopsis pretty much already does that. I loved seeing the relationship between Ellie and Javier develop from start to finish. The way it is written, you really feel the connection and every gutwrenching twist and turn the relationship takes. I felt my heart break when Ellie's did.And Holy Hotness!! Some of the scenes in this book are SO steamy. Javier is naughty!!Of course, I loved it. No suprise there. Karina's writing is amazing and I love me some effed up, angsty books. Definitely a MUST READ!!
Sins & Needles - Karina Halle A book like this...I feel like nothing I could write would do it justice. The flow of the book is perfect. Not so slow that I lose interest and not so fast that I feel like it was rushed (where sometimes you feel like more development would have been a good thing). I love that I get a good clear picture of the characters and their personalities and what motivates them to do what they do. Which is why I loved Ellie so much in spite of the things she has done/does throughout the book. The backstory is revealed piece by piece throughout the book which I loved because it felt like it kept the mystery going throughout.Sins & Needles is everything I could ever want in a book. A smokin hot tattoo artist. Crime. Mystery. Sizzling love scenes (I mean, whoa...). There were so many twists and turns and surprises. Plus an ending that I did NOT see coming. I feel like this book has something for everyone and I REALLY highly recommend it. A fantastic read that will leave you wanting more!
Dirty Red (Love Me With Lies, #2) - Tarryn Fisher What did I think? Holy shit! Tarryn Fisher is amazing. This book is told from Leah's point of view. I was never a Leah hater and she is one crazy lady, so I knew that seeing the world through her eyes would be an interesting roller coaster ride. The book alternates from past to present, so we get to hear bits from The Opportunist and also see how her present life is playing out. Now, I know she's reprehensible. She's done her share of evil and told her share of lies. BUT, I feel for her SO much in this book. Tarryn brilliantly paints a picture of a woman who never really had a chance. Her parents are awful. Caleb lies to her and still acts like he's morally superior. I just really felt like she's no worse than he is.From cover to cover, I was enthralled. Nobody writes like Tarryn. I freaking LOVED this book and I cannot wait for Caleb's point of view.
The Devil's Metal - Karina Halle Books don't creep me out very often. It's easy for me to disconnect and not be very freaked out for some reason. Karina's books are an exception. The Experiment in Terror books did it and The Devil's Metal did not disappoint. 70's Rock and Roll. Sex. Drugs. And Demons. That's all you need to know. This booked scared the shit out of me, cracked me up and made me blush so many times. And I loved every minute of it. I can't wait until book 2 comes out!!!
Savagery - Emma MacKenzie **I won an ARC of this book in a contest**I wasn't sure what to expect when I read the description of the book. I haven't read a lot of books in the Erotica genre and the word Erotica always makes me think of the smutty paperbacks my mom always bought at the grocery store when we went shopping when I was a kid. I imagine the cheesy porno movies that have a stupid plot (if there is a plot at all) and dialogue that sounds like it was written by a horny 15 year old boy. This book is none if the above!!!Emma MacKenzie's debut novel is well written, the plot is well thought out (and actually very interesting) and the character development is very good. The sex scenes are steamy!!! I read this book in a matter of hours, finding it difficult to put it down. The plot was exciting and engaging and I couldn't guess how it was going to end. It isn't a predictable kind of storyline. In fact, I cried at one point in the book. You follow Cherine and Erik through the book - alternating between a third person account of each of their point of views. I thought that added a lot - I like having insight into multiple characters. There is quite a bit of violence in the book, so be warned if that kind of stuff makes you squeamish. I wasn't bothered by it at all. I highly recommend this book - I loved it!!
Thoughtless - S.C. Stephens Tentatively giving this book 4 stars. It kind of wrecked me :/ I might change to 5 stars later, but I'm pouting right now because it made me cry. Hard. *crosses arms across chest*
Into the Hollow - Karina Halle If you've gotten this far in the series, you already know that Karina is a fabulous writer. This series has definitely become my new favorite book series (edging out the Delirium series by Lauren Oliver). Yeah, I love it *that* much. For Into the Hollow, I was nervous that I wouldn't like the shift from ghosts/demons to the urban legend thing, but Karina did a great job making it just as scary as all of the ones before. I love how the book shifts back and forth from romance to comedy to horror. She does a fantastic job keeping me on the edge of my seat and interested in every part of the book. I don't find myself getting bored as I often do when reading (I tend to have a short attention span when I'm reading on a device where I can also access Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest). And, I LOVED Dex in this book. So much. I wanted to reach in and bitch slap Perry so many times... The chemistry and relationship between Dex and Perry has built up so much that I felt like I was going to explode all through the book. Some of the scenes were so hot I was afraid my Kindle might catch on fire. I'm so anxious for Come Alive (Book #7)!!!
Love Revolution - Michelle Mankin I was fortunate to receive an ARC of this book and I was honestly pretty excited to dive in considering how much I lurved Love Evolution. It's like Michelle is psychic. She knows exactly how I like my books - fast paced. She grabbed my attention and didn't let go until I read the last word. I also love that it isn't told from just one or two character's points of view. I like knowing what everyone is thinking and feeling. Well written, interesting and full of drama. I love it, I love it, I love it!!

Miss Me Not

Miss Me Not - Tiffany King I got an ARC of this book and was pretty excited to read it. The book is intense and emotional. I had to put it down a few times to take a break. It made me laugh and cry. I credit Tiffany with introducing me to my new favorite phrase - Whore Cat. I love the characters and the development of their relationships. LOVE this book. Read it!!!
