Thief (Love Me With Lies, #3) - Tarryn Fisher I can't....it just...the book...nothing. I have no words. Flawless. Heartbreaking. Amazing.
The Light in the Wound - Christine Brae Whoa. Fabulous. Let me start out by saying, I'm not into flowery, rainbows and unicorns, everything is fabulous books. I don't particularly care for chick flicks. I was SO relieved to find this book is far from that. It is just angsty enough without feeling like the author tore my heart out and stomped on it. The characters are relatable (either I could relate to them or I knew someone like them...) and throughout the book, you can feel them growing up and changing - definitely not one dimensional characters.I liked Isabel. There, I said it. I know some people found her indecisiveness to be off-putting, but it didn't bother me as much as some female characters that have acted in a similar way in other books. I feel like I understood why she was indecisive (as much as I wanted to smack her for making poor decisions sometimes). With her mother as an example and the kind of upbringing she received, I decided she was allowed to have some major fumbles. Especially since she seemed to learn from her mistakes eventually.Jesse was extremely frustrating and anxiety inducing. I know people like him and I knew she needed get away from him. I was very skeptical that he would ever change.Alex *sigh*. Everyone needs and deserves an Alex in their life. Oh! And how could I forget! Holy, hot sexy times!! Some fantastic scenes peppered in here and there. I need a fan to cool off...Fantastic book! Very well written, considering this is the author's debut novel. I will definitely be keeping an eye out for future books from Brae!
Come Alive - Karina Halle I loved. This. Book.First off, Karina's male POV writing is priceless. I found myself giggling many times throughout the book at some of the things Dex was saying. I work with a lot of guys and from listening to their conversations, Karina is spot on.I can't say much without spoilers, so I'll just say that parts of this book blew my mind. I found myself frustrated (for the characters) one minute, freaked out the next, then laughing, then nearly crying. The suspense is incredible and there are parts that definitely creeped me out! The way everything came together in the last half of the book....I just...I have no words. Fantstic book. Amazing. Nothing I could say would do it justice. The series just keeps getting better and better (even though I wouldn't have thought it was possible to get bettet). I HIGHLY recommend this book!

Shatter Me

Shatter Me - Tahereh Mafi Amazing. Just...amazing!
Meant to Be (The Saving Angels, #1) - Tiffany King Loved it!
Binds - Rebecca Espinoza Amazing!!! Debut novel? Seriously? The writing was so good that I would never have guessed this was her first book. I'm VERY much into Urban Fantasty, so I think it takes a lot to impress me. The storyline was solid and interesting. The pacing was lightning fast, making it difficult for me to put the book down. I found myself still thinking about the plot days after I'd finished reading it. Several surprises at the end that I loved!!The guys? I had an ongoing internal struggle with whether I wanted Ophelia with Spencer or Reece. And I LOOOOVED Jinx!Fantastic, highly entertaining read. Very much recommend it to anyone who liked series like Shatter Me, Divergent or Legend.Well done, Ms Espinoza!!!
Shooting Scars - Karina Halle I feel like I have to start out with – You MUST read Sins & Needles before you read this book. It’s not even a question. So please don’t try reading Shooting Scars without reading Sins & Needles first! Also, don’t read the rest of my review without reading S&N :)Now, I’m faced with the same issue that I always have when I write reviews for books I love – how do I do this book justice? I cannot say enough good things about this book. To say that I was excited to beta read this book for Ms. Halle is a huge understatement. Sins & Needles was amazing, so I’ll admit that I was a bit nervous about Shooting Scars. How could it possibly live up to the first book? Many sequels end up being a disappointment, not being able to quite live up to the same amazingness of the first book. Not only did Shooting Scars live up to the pure freaking awesomeness of Sins & Needles, it surpassed it. Didn’t think it was possible! But it happened…The flow was so smooth. I didn’t find myself jarred out of a scene and having to flip back and wonder where something came from. The pace was FAST. Hold onto your book/Kindle tight! I have trouble getting into books that move too slowly or have lulls, but there was never a dull moment. Halle grabs your attention at the beginning and doesn’t let go until you read the last word. It is rare for me to find myself engaged throughout the entire book – I couldn’t put it down. Plus, talk about some scorching sex scenes! Holy crap! HOT!As usual, the characters are very well developed. They are all so complicated and real. You see them change throughout these books - from the beginning of S&N to the end of Shooting Scars. Ellie… I love Ellie. I really feel for her. She makes some poor decisions, but she’s really trying. She’s so confused. She had such a crappy childhood and her parents really screwed her up. I found myself really rooting for her in this book.Javier… I’m SO not team Javier. I pretty much stuck with that thinking during this book. He did have some moments of redemption which had me questioning my feelings toward his character. That’s what I love about Halle’s writing. I feel like I could really understand Ellie’s indecision when it came to Javier in this book.Camden… Oh, I LOVE me some Camden! He was pretty badass in this book. The poor guy gets sh*t on so many times. He keeps going and keeps fighting. I love him!Gus… Well, I love Gus too and his role in this book. Shooting Scars is a MUST read!!!!
One Tiny Secret - Adam Kunz Whoa! This was definitely one of those books that I had a tough time putting down. The suspense was through the roof! It isn't easy for a book to actually creep me out, but this one...yeah, I was kind of freaked out when I was reading it whilst home alone.Parker is super yummy. Where were these guys when I was in high school? And oh, was this book steamy!! Holy crap!I loved that I truly didn't know who was responsible for the mayhem until the very end. Usually you can guess or have some idea by 50-75% and you are cussing the main character for being so stupid and not knowing. NOT the case here. I was stupid right along with her. Going "OH, it was so and so!"...then a few pages later "Yikes! Nope, not so and so!". So many viable suspects and no clue as to which one was "Unknown" until the very end!I love, love, loved it!!!!!
Apollyon - Jennifer L. Armentrout F'ing amazing. I have no idea how the hell I'm going to be able to wait until Sentinel comes out! Gods, I LOVE this series!!!
True Love Story - Willow Aster Oh. Em. Gee.... Fabulous. *Swoon*Full review to come!
Love Resolution (Black Cat Records, #3) - Michelle Mankin Oh, Michelle! You sure do know how to take my heart and kick it around, don't you?I'm not sure I can do this book justice, but I'll give it a try.First, I have to say that I LOVE this whole series so far. The characters are fantastic. The storylines are AMAZING. I am a huge rock and roll fan, so I love reading books that have storylines revolving around that world.I loved Avery and Marcus in this book. They both felt very real. Michelle definitely has a way of making her characters realistic and believable. I actually felt the emotions they went through. I cried (which..I'm still a little bit mad about, Michelle!). I felt my heart break along with Avery's. And steamy!! Holy sh*t is this book steamy!! *blushes*And Brian. Oh, Brian. I have to say that I'm super excited that it seems like the next book might center around him. I can only hope it is the story about how he and the waitress (named Jamie..) end up together...The book moved at a fantastic pace, keeping me glued to it all the way through - only stopping when I literally couldn't keep my eyes open anymore.Another fantastic book, well written. It has HOT male rock stars, a kick ass female lead guitarist and rock and roll. Well done, Michelle!!!
No Attachments - Tiffany King **I received an ARC for an honest review***Sigh* I loved it! A super sweet love story along with plenty of giggle out loud moments. I told myself I wouldn't cry. And then I *might* have cried a little bit.The book moved at a perfect pace, keeping the mystery a mystery just long enough to keep you interested (but not so long that you get annoyed - you know, when you're like "just tell me what your secret is already!"). The characters are very likeable/lovable. I'm not going to lie, I kind of have a crush on Nathan. I also really liked how each chapter switched back and forth between Nathan and Ashton's point of view.Ashton is our female main character. She had a privileged life, which she escapes because she also has a secret. She moves to a small town far away from her former life so she can do all the crazy things she has never had the guts to do before. She is determined not to fall in love until...Nathan comes into town. He has a job to do. He never gets attached to his marks. He's gorgeous, charming and irresistible. I really loved him!Plenty of humor throughout the book - from Ashton's hilarious friends to Ashton's own unfortunate luck and clumsiness.A great read! I highly recommend this book!
The Good Life - Jodie Beau I was asked to beta read this book and I have to say I was blown away! Jodie's writing is fantastic. Fan*friggin*tastic! The plot was great - very interesting and entertaining! I found myself laughing out loud quite a few times. I know some people didn't have the warm and fuzzies for Roxie, but I liked her. I really liked seeing her transition from the beginning of the book to the end of the book. And Jake. Jodie, you had me at the Adam Levine comparison. Good lord!! Jake is hot and sweet...and hot...I would definitely recommend this book!! Well done, Jodie!!!
